How to Use Quick Batcher

Hopefully, most of the operation of Quick Batcher are fairly intuitive. Here is a quick guide:

  1. Launch ffpegX and make all settings for the videos that you want to convert. Quick Batcher is only useful when you want to apply identical settings to a group of videos.
  2. Launch Quick Batcher. Make sure that you have "Enable access of assistive devices" checked in the Universal Access pane of System Preferences. The checkbox is in the bottom-left corner of the preference pane.
  3. There are two tabs for the two modes of operation.
    1. Multipe Videos - Drag a group of videos (not folders) to the drop box. All the videos will be added to the ffmegX queue (the progress window) with the settings from step (1) above. Note, all invalid files (e.g., text files) will also be added to the queue, though they will probably be ignored by ffmpegX.
    2. Multiple Titles - This is for processing a DVD containing multiple titles (e.g., a television series DVD). Enter the titles in the Quick Batcher text field and a conversion job for each title will be added to the ffmpegX progress window with the settings from step (1).
  4. Your done. Sit back an let ffmpegX do its thing.
